00:00:00.240 --> 00:00:02.309
Coming up on Better Place Project.
00:00:02.309 --> 00:00:19.493
The paradox of tolerance is a philosophical concept suggesting that if a society extends tolerance to those who are intolerant, it risks enabling the eventual dominance of intolerance, thereby undermining the very principle of tolerance.
00:00:19.493 --> 00:00:40.311
This paradox was articulated by philosopher Karl Popper in the Open Society and Its Enemies from 1945, where he argued that a truly tolerant society must not tolerate those who promote intolerance.
00:00:40.311 --> 00:00:50.158
They could exploit open society values to erode or destroy tolerance itself through authoritarian or oppressive practices.
00:00:50.158 --> 00:00:53.429
We simply cannot let this happen.
00:00:53.429 --> 00:00:57.310
Make the world a better place.
00:00:57.310 --> 00:01:00.607
Make the world a better place.
00:01:01.520 --> 00:01:02.966
Hey, hey, I'm Steve Norris.
00:01:02.966 --> 00:01:20.364
Welcome to Better Place Project, where each week, we shine a light on amazing humans from every corner of the planet who are doing extraordinary things to help make the world a better place, including sharing their knowledge with us on how we can be living healthier, happier, more purposeful lives.
00:01:20.364 --> 00:01:30.335
Hey everybody, well, it's been a minute Actually almost six months, I think since I've dropped an episode.
00:01:30.335 --> 00:01:40.225
So thank you all for the DMs and emails and texts asking where the hell are you, steve?
00:01:40.225 --> 00:01:40.486
You okay?
00:01:40.486 --> 00:01:41.087
Are you coming back?
00:01:41.087 --> 00:01:42.367
You okay, are you coming?
00:01:42.408 --> 00:01:42.808
back.
00:01:44.129 --> 00:01:53.894
And the answers are I've been all over, yes I'm okay and yes, I'm coming back, but under different terms.
00:01:53.894 --> 00:02:09.286
I'm dropping this episode about the election, but I don't anticipate I'll be doing any more for the next couple of months, so for the rest of the year.
00:02:09.286 --> 00:02:11.991
My God, I can't believe we're in the final stretches of 2024.
00:02:11.991 --> 00:02:13.693
This year has flown by, so where have I been?
00:02:13.693 --> 00:02:40.262
Well, back in the spring, I went through a really tough breakup with my on and off again partner of three and a half years, someone who I love and care about deeply, and, as my regular listeners know, I'm an open book and I share really personal details about my life on this podcast.
00:02:40.262 --> 00:02:45.264
However, my ex-partner is a really private person.
00:02:45.264 --> 00:03:19.834
So, out of respect for her, and we are both so grateful that our paths crossed At least I know I am and I know she is too, because she's told me that, and so that's all I have to say about that I will leave it there Now.
00:03:19.834 --> 00:04:06.231
This happened, as I mentioned, early spring, I guess, and I still had episode commitments when we broke it off, and or I had already recorded an interview or two as well as solo content, so I went ahead and published those episodes through, I believe, the end of May, the end of May, and then I just made the decision to take a couple months off, give myself a break, spend some time alone in nature, continue to reflect, continue to do shadow work, which I started immediately after the breakup and just really reflect on my life where I was at, where do I want to go, what type of relationship do I want in the future, etc.
00:04:06.231 --> 00:04:07.641
Those types of things.
00:04:07.641 --> 00:04:35.776
And then, on the afternoon or evening of July 2nd, I received some horrible news about my mom, her health, which she had been having some health issues for the previous couple of months, but she had suddenly taken a turn for the worse and I learned that the next day she was going to be put in home hospice care.
00:04:35.776 --> 00:04:54.158
So I booked the first flight out the next morning and, along with my siblings and my dad, and along with my siblings and my dad, took care of my mom until she passed, about two and a half weeks later, on July 18th.
00:04:54.158 --> 00:05:03.584
And I'm so grateful for the time that I had with my mom to say everything I wanted to say and more.
00:05:03.584 --> 00:05:18.161
And it was truly just one of the honors of my life to take care of her, to be with her and just give her and surround her with love that she had given me my whole life and now.
00:05:18.182 --> 00:05:33.627
I'm not ready to say much more about that right now, but rest assured at some point that right now, but rest assured at some point, I want to do an episode on grief and losing a loved one.
00:05:33.627 --> 00:05:52.348
Right now I'm still processing all of that, but certainly sometime next year I would love to share more with you all and bring on maybe a grief counselor or some sort of expert and we can all learn from it and hopefully it will be a value to someone else who has lost a parent or a loved one.
00:05:52.348 --> 00:05:57.002
So that's why I didn't launch season 12.
00:05:57.002 --> 00:06:07.935
Yep, we've actually done 11 seasons, but yeah, I was planning on doing that in July, like I had planned, but that's why that was postponed.
00:06:07.935 --> 00:06:26.141
So now next year well, at least for the foreseeable future, I won't be committing to weekly episodes, but rather just dropping an episode or a series of episodes when I feel compelled or motivated to feel compelled or motivated to.
00:06:26.141 --> 00:06:42.146
I've got some other important projects that I'll share with you in the future, but these are time-consuming projects that require my time and attention, and I intend to give this project both of those things, but thank you so much again, all of you for sticking with me and please go binge some past episodes.
00:06:42.146 --> 00:06:53.175
There's gold in so many of these episodes with world-class guests that have taught me so much about just living a healthier, happier and more spiritual life.
00:06:53.175 --> 00:06:55.220
It was interesting.
00:06:55.220 --> 00:07:06.971
I checked about an hour ago and we are still ranked in the top 2.5% of podcasts worldwide, in spite of me not even dropping one minute of content for six months.
00:07:06.971 --> 00:07:09.303
That's pretty stinking cool.
00:07:09.303 --> 00:07:32.591
We had made it up to the top one and a half percent worldwide doing weekly episodes, so it's pretty awesome to see that there are still so many listeners out there consuming old episodes that I did three and a half years ago with my daughter Erin, and even episodes two years ago just 50 episodes back.
00:07:32.591 --> 00:07:33.694
So thank you.
00:07:33.694 --> 00:07:36.891
So, for even my long-term listeners, go back and flip through.
00:07:36.891 --> 00:07:41.324
There's so much great content there that's timeless, so go check it out.
00:07:42.687 --> 00:07:45.293
Now onto to the real meat of today's show.
00:07:45.293 --> 00:07:47.766
Last week's election.
00:07:47.766 --> 00:07:49.946
Where do I start?
00:07:49.946 --> 00:08:04.312
I'll start by saying Dime con quien andes y te dire quien eres, which is, tell me who you hang around with and I'll tell you who you are.
00:08:04.312 --> 00:08:06.649
Or, as we say in English, you are who you hang around with and I'll tell you who you are.
00:08:06.649 --> 00:08:12.713
Or, as we say in English, you are who you hang around with or, in this case, you are who you voted for.
00:08:12.713 --> 00:08:15.865
Now I will circle back to that a little bit later.
00:08:15.865 --> 00:08:21.603
In this episode, which I have titled, we Got what we Deserve.
00:08:22.987 --> 00:08:24.329
Now let me explain that.
00:08:24.329 --> 00:08:45.796
If you are a follower of the show, you know I preach about and I've had many spiritual leaders on this show who talk about manifestation, that our thoughts have energy, that we are responsible for everything that happens to us, that we are a part of a universal collective consciousness.
00:08:45.796 --> 00:08:55.090
So if you believe that, regardless of which candidate you wanted to be our president, you played a role in Trump being elected.
00:08:55.090 --> 00:09:01.029
Now, all of you Kamala supporters, I know and full disclosure.
00:09:01.029 --> 00:09:08.044
By the way, I voted for Kamala, but I'm sure many listening are saying hey, man, that's, that's bullshit.
00:09:08.044 --> 00:09:15.669
I pounded the streets, I knocked on doors for Kamala, I made phone calls, I I called out Trump on all his hate.
00:09:15.669 --> 00:09:19.144
I did everything in my power to not get him elected.
00:09:19.205 --> 00:09:23.363
So don't tell me that I'm a part of the problem that cause I didn't vote for Trump.
00:09:23.363 --> 00:09:24.485
I had nothing to do with that.
00:09:24.485 --> 00:09:26.067
In fact, I hate Trump.
00:09:26.067 --> 00:09:37.230
These are things a lot of my Democrat friends have said to me when I posed this question, and they'll literally say I hate Donald Trump.
00:09:37.230 --> 00:09:44.586
So I had nothing to do with him being elected, and what comes to my mind is the word hate.
00:09:45.889 --> 00:09:52.436
There is a lot of energy around the word hate and the emotion of hatred.
00:09:52.436 --> 00:09:56.831
What energy were you putting out there?
00:09:56.831 --> 00:10:11.144
Hate attracts hate, so I'm going to piss off a lot of people on both sides of the aisle with this little conversation here, but you know what?
00:10:11.144 --> 00:10:16.042
I think that's part of the reason why we are where we are at today.
00:10:16.042 --> 00:10:19.529
Too many of us are too worried about rocking the apple cart.
00:10:19.529 --> 00:10:31.721
We don't want to upset anyone with our views, so we tend to keep things in Well, not all of us, but a lot of us but look where that's really gotten us Now.
00:10:31.721 --> 00:10:43.533
I pride myself on attempting to look at things from both a spiritual perspective, but also through an analytical lens, through the lens of science.
00:10:43.533 --> 00:11:08.201
So while Democrats are now beginning to point fingers right and left about what went wrong and what happened, let's pause for a moment to talk about that Bottom line Democrats made some unforced errors in this election, and I really think they just kind of lost their compass, their common sense.
00:11:09.303 --> 00:11:15.014
Biden was clearly too old and should never have been the nominee this election.
00:11:15.014 --> 00:11:33.149
All the people around him working behind the scenes had to have known how bad this was, yet nothing was said until that disastrous debate made it painfully clear to the entire world this guy is not fit to do another term.
00:11:33.149 --> 00:11:47.322
But the fact that everyone waited too long maybe those closest to him waited too long to point out hey, you need to step down and waited till that debate.
00:11:47.322 --> 00:11:54.703
Come on, there had to be signs behind the scenes long before that debate that everybody ignored.
00:11:54.703 --> 00:11:55.424
Heck.
00:11:55.424 --> 00:12:00.240
George Clooney came out publicly and said guys, something's not right with the guy.
00:12:00.240 --> 00:12:03.187
He met him at a party, so right out of the chute.
00:12:03.187 --> 00:12:05.692
That's a mistake the Democrats made.
00:12:06.600 --> 00:12:10.774
In many ways, though, kamala, in my opinion, was brilliant.
00:12:10.774 --> 00:12:16.125
What she did in a matter of a hundred days or so truly was remarkable.
00:12:16.125 --> 00:12:25.269
But I would constantly hear from my friends on the right the go-to comment from Republicans was oh, she's incompetent.
00:12:25.269 --> 00:12:30.947
I heard that on every news program from every Republican, especially on Fox News.
00:12:30.947 --> 00:12:35.524
All my Republican friends would say that and it was just nonsense.
00:12:35.524 --> 00:12:48.623
Anybody who watched that debate saw that Kamala Harris completely eviscerated Trump in that debate and anybody who feels differently is fooling themselves.
00:12:48.623 --> 00:12:53.472
Just like Trump eviscerated Biden in that debate back on June 27th.
00:12:53.472 --> 00:13:01.402
It was so painfully obvious and here Biden was my pick and it was so obvious that he was not ready to be president.
00:13:01.402 --> 00:13:17.208
And in the Kamala Harris Trump debate it was so obvious that she was way more fit and way more competent than he was, and that's why Trump refused to do any more debates thereafter and even stopped doing interviews thereafter.
00:13:17.208 --> 00:13:19.121
She showed up for a 60 Minutes interview.
00:13:19.121 --> 00:13:20.443
He did not.
00:13:21.145 --> 00:13:24.191
But are there things to criticize with the Democrats and their approach?
00:13:24.191 --> 00:13:25.734
You betcha?
00:13:25.734 --> 00:13:41.822
For example, one thing that drove me nuts about Kamala Harris and with many politicians, to be honest on both sides is when they don't own, when they change their position on a particular issue.
00:13:41.822 --> 00:13:43.850
Take, for example, fracking.
00:13:43.850 --> 00:14:08.342
She clearly in the past was against fracking, but when it was brought up now that she says that, oh, I'm not going to fight it, I didn't during my presidency when it was brought up her evasive responses in interviews with regard to fracking were just unsettling at best, and I just don't understand why good leaders don't just say hey, you know what?
00:14:08.342 --> 00:14:16.549
Yeah, I did feel that way a couple of years ago, but when new information was presented to me, I kept an open mind and I thought you know what?
00:14:16.549 --> 00:14:19.306
Going forward, I think this is a better path.
00:14:19.306 --> 00:14:27.986
Good leaders will change their mind when new information is brought to their attention and not deny that it happened or not sugarcoat it.
00:14:27.986 --> 00:14:32.623
And on top of that, kamala could have turned around and fired back, and she never did.
00:14:32.623 --> 00:14:36.250
She could have said are you kidding me right now?
00:14:36.250 --> 00:14:38.081
Trump used to be a Democrat.
00:14:38.081 --> 00:14:40.203
He used to be pro-choice.
00:14:40.203 --> 00:14:44.229
I mean, she could have thrown that right back at him and she never did.
00:14:44.229 --> 00:14:47.855
So that was clearly a failure on her part.
00:14:49.662 --> 00:14:55.549
Some other things Identity politics Good Lord, democrats, you need to knock it off.
00:14:55.549 --> 00:15:00.451
The days of identity politics are long gone.
00:15:00.451 --> 00:15:04.666
Latinx Latinos hate it.
00:15:04.666 --> 00:15:11.259
Stop it.
00:15:11.259 --> 00:15:19.701
Only 3% of Latinos actually like that term and the Democrats lost a huge percentage of the Latin vote, and that played a huge role in Kamala losing the election.
00:15:19.701 --> 00:15:28.936
Next, half of 1% of American adults identify as transgender or non-binary.
00:15:30.260 --> 00:15:38.961
Now, democrats are absolutely on the right side of fighting for the rights and equality for trans people, but in my view.
00:15:38.961 --> 00:15:40.501
They took it way too far.
00:15:40.501 --> 00:15:41.482
Took it way too far.
00:15:41.482 --> 00:15:51.870
Allowing and fighting for trans women to compete at the highest level of sports just fails the common sense test all day long.
00:15:51.870 --> 00:15:53.652
It's simply not fair.
00:15:53.652 --> 00:16:01.878
Look, I'll 100% support anyone's right to identify with any gender you choose.
00:16:01.878 --> 00:16:03.201
It's your life.
00:16:03.201 --> 00:16:06.951
I feel the same way about who you want to marry.
00:16:06.951 --> 00:16:08.422
Marry who you want.
00:16:08.422 --> 00:16:15.666
That's where I think Democrats are on the right side of all these issues of freedoms and LBGTQ rights.
00:16:15.666 --> 00:16:27.734
But if you are biologically a male, you are statistically bigger and stronger than a human being that is biologically a female.
00:16:27.734 --> 00:16:34.910
That is a fact and it's simply not fair for you to compete with biologically female athletes.
00:16:34.910 --> 00:16:39.070
Come on, guys, it costs you an election and it just doesn't make sense.
00:16:39.070 --> 00:16:46.552
And the moment I knew that Kamala was in trouble was during game one of the World Series.
00:16:46.552 --> 00:16:53.052
At almost every stinking commercial break you saw, kamala is for they them.
00:16:53.581 --> 00:17:03.149
Trump is for you, while showing a very large trans woman athlete with her much smaller teammates which, by the way, how disgusting is that?
00:17:03.149 --> 00:17:06.861
For the Trump campaign to shame and exploit the trans community?
00:17:06.861 --> 00:17:12.569
Just sending more bigotry their way, all for political gain.
00:17:12.569 --> 00:17:19.067
But again, I knew it was over because I know these campaigns do focus groups and all that.
00:17:19.067 --> 00:17:19.348
That.
00:17:19.348 --> 00:17:26.313
That that commercial played throughout game one and then I saw it in game two and then in game three and then in game four.
00:17:26.313 --> 00:17:29.960
They kept playing it because it worked.
00:17:30.762 --> 00:17:34.516
So Democrats fighting for that radical position.
00:17:34.516 --> 00:17:54.009
They alienated so many Americans that they felt like that just isn't right and they thought if they vote for the Democratic Party, then they're voting for just radical left policies and I'm hoping the party will take a look at that.
00:17:54.009 --> 00:18:11.194
That said, my heart truly does go out to the trans community, in fact, to the entire LGBTQ plus community, as I'm really concerned that it could be a rough four years with this administration.
00:18:11.194 --> 00:18:25.423
Another big error by the Democrats was good Lord, and this is going back a few years now was good Lord, and this is going back a few years now.
00:18:25.423 --> 00:18:28.789
But the defund, the police campaign just an idiotic idea, an idiotic tagline or slogan.
00:18:28.789 --> 00:18:32.375
Everything about it is just ridiculous.
00:18:32.375 --> 00:18:38.472
I know very few people, very few Democrats, that actually wanted to defund the police.
00:18:38.472 --> 00:18:39.643
I mean, think about that.
00:18:39.643 --> 00:18:41.249
How moronic is that?
00:18:41.249 --> 00:18:59.410
But yet the Republicans grabbed onto it and it's been the radical left ever since Again just contributed to a handful of votes here, a handful of votes there, and it gave them all this disgusting fodder to put in their campaign ads.
00:18:59.410 --> 00:19:08.953
Lastly, biden did virtually nothing about the border crisis for two years until it was too late.
00:19:08.953 --> 00:19:13.832
And it was and is a border crisis.
00:19:13.832 --> 00:19:24.284
And, yes, there was a bill put together, bipartisan bill, that the Trump campaign shot down, a bill put together, bipartisan bill, that the Trump campaign shot down.
00:19:24.284 --> 00:19:28.973
And I feel like the Democrats also didn't do a good enough job of pointing out how the Republicans shot that down.
00:19:28.973 --> 00:19:39.026
They tried, but they didn't scream that loud enough in their campaigns and whatnot, and I feel that hurt them dramatically.
00:19:39.026 --> 00:19:46.131
Now, all of that said, let's take a look at the alternative to Kamala Harris.
00:19:46.131 --> 00:19:53.230
Again, I go back to Dime con quien andes y te de de quien eres.
00:19:55.882 --> 00:20:31.420
Now, I've spent a lot of time in Europe and back in 2016, I spent five months there on a sabbatical and this was leading up to the, of course, 2016 election and no matter what city I was in, whether I was in Paris or Berlin or Prague or Vienna, austria, the south of France, barcelona when people found out that I was an American, they would all want to talk politics and they would all ask surely your country won't elect a racist?
00:20:31.420 --> 00:20:39.989
In fact, they all remembered his claims that Obama was not a citizen and saying his birth certificate was fake and all that nonsense.
00:20:39.989 --> 00:20:43.299
And saying his birth certificate was fake and all that nonsense.
00:20:43.299 --> 00:20:48.920
But they would all say surely you're not going to elect that racist, loud, obnoxious reality TV star, are you?
00:20:48.920 --> 00:20:52.306
And I just kept hearing that.
00:20:52.306 --> 00:21:00.722
You know from their perspective, from a distance, they said he just strikes us as like the king of all assholes, literally.
00:21:00.722 --> 00:21:09.896
That expression I heard so much across Europe and I told him, of course, no, we'll never elect him.
00:21:09.896 --> 00:21:11.861
This is just a publicity stunt.
00:21:11.861 --> 00:21:15.085
He'll never be elected.
00:21:15.085 --> 00:21:17.847
And boy was I wrong.
00:21:19.369 --> 00:21:25.257
We elected him and, by the way, we knew then who he was.
00:21:25.257 --> 00:21:31.367
We knew before that election that, in fact, he bragged about sexually assaulting women.
00:21:31.367 --> 00:21:42.734
He admitted on tape and well, he didn't know he was being taped, but we heard it on tape and, as we found out later, he was actually found liable for sexual assault.
00:21:42.734 --> 00:21:47.948
We knew then that he had mocked a disabled person.
00:21:47.948 --> 00:22:01.615
We knew then that he thought john mccain a war hero who was a prisoner of war in vietnam and was offered release but refused to come home until all his men did.
00:22:01.615 --> 00:22:12.392
Trump said he wasn't a war hero because he got caught and he spent five years as a prisoner of war.
00:22:12.392 --> 00:22:22.549
Trump dodged the draft by getting a doctor to write him a note saying he had bone spurs on his foot.
00:22:22.549 --> 00:22:35.311
We knew then that he was a conspiracy theorist at best, a racist at worst, when he blabbered on for years about Obama's birth certificate.
00:22:35.311 --> 00:22:45.648
We knew then that his family was fined for not allowing African Americans in his apartment building, but we elected him anyway.
00:22:46.861 --> 00:22:49.630
Now I'll admit I'm human.
00:22:49.630 --> 00:23:16.823
On election day, I found myself just really being upset with American voters, with American voters, asking myself how can anyone possibly want this narcissistic, carnival-barking buffoon to be our president?
00:23:16.823 --> 00:23:23.961
But I've calmed down since and I know the huge majority of voters out there who voted for him are good, honest people who did what they felt was best for our country.
00:23:23.961 --> 00:23:43.395
I hold the most contempt for cowardly politicians who truly know who Donald Trump is, who have worked with him but put their appetite for power and their careers above the oath they made to their country.
00:23:44.759 --> 00:23:50.032
Here's a clip of what Republican Senator Ted Cruz knew about Trump.
00:23:50.032 --> 00:23:55.332
Now I ask that you really listen to this clip.
00:23:55.332 --> 00:23:58.627
It's a bit long, but I want you to hear the entire.
00:23:58.627 --> 00:24:01.132
Actually, it's not the entire thing, I cut off some of it.
00:24:01.132 --> 00:24:03.501
That's before, in fact, before what you're going to hear.
00:24:03.501 --> 00:24:12.576
He talks about that Donald Trump accused Ted Cruz's father of being a part of the John F Kennedy assassination.
00:24:12.576 --> 00:24:21.009
I mean just—but he rambled on about that, so I didn't want this thing to be like six minutes long, so I cut that out to give you some context.
00:24:21.009 --> 00:24:27.813
But listen to what Ted Cruz was saying eight years ago about Donald Trump.
00:24:28.661 --> 00:24:29.423
All across the country.
00:24:29.423 --> 00:24:31.049
I'm going to tell you what I really think of Donald Trump.
00:24:31.049 --> 00:24:34.689
This man is a pathological liar.
00:24:34.689 --> 00:24:39.450
He doesn't know the difference between truth and lies.
00:24:39.450 --> 00:24:51.534
He lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth, and in a pattern that I think is straight out of a psychology textbook.
00:24:51.534 --> 00:24:55.451
His response is to accuse everybody else of lying.
00:24:55.451 --> 00:25:03.548
He accuses everybody on that debate stage of lying and it's simply a mindless yell.
00:25:03.548 --> 00:25:06.288
Whatever he does, he accuses everyone else of doing.
00:25:07.119 --> 00:25:16.330
The man cannot tell the truth, but he combines it with being a narcissist A narcissist at a level I don't think this country's ever seen.
00:25:16.330 --> 00:25:23.125
Donald Trump is such a narcissist that Barack Obama looks at him and goes dude, what's your problem?
00:25:23.125 --> 00:25:34.983
Everything in Donald's world is about Donald and he combines being a pathological liar.
00:25:34.983 --> 00:25:49.710
And I say pathological because I actually think, donald, if you hooked him up to a lie detector test, he could say one thing in the morning, one thing at noon and one thing in the evening all contradictory and he'd pass the lie detector test each time.
00:25:49.710 --> 00:25:52.608
Whatever lie he's telling, at that minute he believes it.
00:25:52.608 --> 00:25:57.607
But the man is utterly amoral.
00:25:57.607 --> 00:25:59.926
Let me finish this, please.
00:25:59.926 --> 00:26:00.472
The man is utterly amoral.
00:26:00.472 --> 00:26:01.039
Let me finish this, please.
00:26:01.039 --> 00:26:03.467
The man is utterly amoral.
00:26:03.467 --> 00:26:05.928
Morality does not exist for him.
00:26:05.928 --> 00:26:15.807
It's why he went after Heidi directly and smeared my wife, attacked her Apparently she's not pretty enough for Donald Trump.
00:26:18.240 --> 00:26:21.951
I may be biased, but I think if he's making that allegation he's also legally blind.
00:26:21.951 --> 00:26:30.642
But Donald is a bully, you know.
00:26:30.642 --> 00:26:31.968
We just visited with fifth graders.
00:26:31.968 --> 00:26:35.990
Every one of us knew bullies in elementary school.
00:26:35.990 --> 00:26:39.984
Bullies don't come from strength, bullies come from weakness.
00:26:39.984 --> 00:26:44.957
School Bullies don't come from strength, bullies come from weakness.
00:26:44.957 --> 00:26:49.022
Bullies come from a deep, yawning cavern of insecurity.
00:26:49.022 --> 00:26:53.133
There is a reason Donald builds giant buildings and puts his name on them everywhere he goes.
00:26:53.133 --> 00:26:58.730
And I will say there are millions of people in this country who are angry.
00:26:58.730 --> 00:27:01.942
They're angry at Washington, they're angry at politicians who've lied to them.
00:27:01.942 --> 00:27:24.641
I understand that anger, I share that anger, and Donald is cynically exploiting that anger and he is lying to his supporters state of Texas.
00:27:24.661 --> 00:27:33.865
Now let's listen to a clip from Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina, and he's going to tell us exactly how he feels about Donald Trump, or how he felt about Donald Trump in 2016.
00:27:34.244 --> 00:27:36.450
Well, I want to talk to the Trump supporters for a minute.
00:27:36.450 --> 00:27:39.605
I don't know who you are and I don't know why you like this guy.
00:27:39.605 --> 00:27:41.461
I think what you like about him.
00:27:41.461 --> 00:27:44.352
He appears to be strong when the rest of us are weak.
00:27:44.352 --> 00:27:48.084
He's a very successful businessman and he's going to make everything great.
00:27:48.084 --> 00:27:52.883
He's going to take all the problems of the world and put them in a box and make your life better.
00:27:52.883 --> 00:27:54.365
That's what he's selling.
00:27:54.365 --> 00:27:55.646
Here's what you're buying.
00:27:55.646 --> 00:27:59.893
He's a race baiting, xenophobic, religious bigot.
00:27:59.893 --> 00:28:02.355
He doesn't represent my party.
00:28:02.355 --> 00:28:07.152
He doesn't represent the values that the men and women who wear the uniform are fighting for.
00:28:07.152 --> 00:28:09.146
I've been in the Air Force for 33 years.
00:28:09.146 --> 00:28:10.305
I retired this June.
00:28:11.000 --> 00:28:14.530
And for time purposes, I will skip to Lindsey Graham's final thought.
00:28:14.759 --> 00:28:16.887
And you know how you make America great again.
00:28:16.887 --> 00:28:18.747
Tell Donald Trump to go to hell.
00:28:19.421 --> 00:28:25.266
And let's jump to Senator Marco Rubio to get his thoughts on Trump in 2016.
00:28:25.486 --> 00:28:30.065
I asked people to join my effort at marcorubiocom so we can put a stop to this lunacy.
00:28:30.065 --> 00:28:40.142
We are not going to turn over the conservative movement to a con artist who is telling people one thing but has spent 40 years sticking it to working Americans and now claims to be their champion.
00:28:40.142 --> 00:28:46.013
The reason why Donald won't release his taxes is because he hasn't made nearly as much money as he claims he does.
00:28:46.013 --> 00:28:50.531
I mean, this is a guy that's taken Trump Airlines bankrupt, trump vodka Nobody wanted it.
00:28:50.531 --> 00:28:52.287
Trump mortgage was a disaster.
00:28:52.287 --> 00:28:53.846
Trump University was a fraud.
00:28:53.846 --> 00:28:56.208
I mean he's not as rich as he claims to be.
00:28:56.208 --> 00:29:01.348
Everybody in finance knows that and his taxes would expose that, and so I think that's why he doesn't.
00:29:01.409 --> 00:29:03.112
He came up with this excuse now of an audit.
00:29:03.112 --> 00:29:03.673
It's absurd.
00:29:03.673 --> 00:29:04.942
I mean this is unreal.
